Port officials have awarded Pittsburgh Cruise Lines, Inc with the right to provide water taxi service this summer on key weekends, holidays, and for special events including the Major League All-Star Game, the Three Rivers Art Festival, the Fourth of July fireworks, and Dollar Bank Jamboree. Pittsburgh Cruise Lines already provides shuttle service between the Clemente Bridge and Heinz Field for Steeler games. They will provide a total of 160 hours of operation with a 49--passenger catamaran. The fare for all-day, unlimited rides will be $5, down from $8 last year. The water taxi service will make for a more interesting Pittsburgh experience. People can park their cars once and reach venues on all three shores.
